A simple, nourishing lip balm made with wild-harvested brittlebush from the Sonoran Desert.

We infuse responsibly sourced tallow for many weeks with wild-harvested brittlebush, allowing the plant’s distinctive desert character to become part of the balm. After straining the herb, we add locally sourced beeswax and a tiny bit of frankincense essential oil.

The frankincense is there for a particular reason: its warm, resinous fragrance subtly enhances the natural scent of the brittlebush without overwhelming it.

Brittlebush is one of the plants that makes the Sonoran Desert unmistakably itself—silvery foliage, bright yellow flowers, and a distinctive desert fragrance. We wild-harvest it here and put it to work in a simple lip balm for everyday care.
